Dose Conversion Factors
The following is a listing of ingestion dose conversion factors for radionuclides
that are frequently encountered. The values shown below are in units of "millirem
per microcurie ingested", and are used to convert estimates of intake into
committed effective dose equivalent. Following each conversion factor is
a notation showing the fractional absorption, f1, from the GI tract into
the blood stream (isotopes that are completely absorbed have an f1 value
of 1.) These f1 values appear in Federal Guidance Report No. 11, along
with the dose conversion factors.
